\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (3x12s)
\n• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on nights
\n• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for nights)
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Will float within scope to meet facility needs
\n• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH, Fire safety
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• Care for Medical/Surgical/Oncology patients including end-of-life care
\n• Skills required: accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, monitoring chemotherapy, PCA, IV management, telemetry oncology, rapid response/code teams
\n• 38-hour orientation provided
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• Must reside outside 75-mile radius (no local candidates accepted)
\n• Pending license accepted
\n• No medical marijuana cards accepted
\n• Must complete pre-start modules within specified timeframe
Facility:
\nThis 233-bed acute care hospital features a specialized 28-room Medical-Oncology unit with two Comfort Care Suites dedicated to end-of-life patients. The facility provides comprehensive care for medical, surgical, and oncology patients with interdisciplinary support including unit secretaries. The hospital maintains a daily census of approximately 19 patients and offers modern equipment and technology to support patient care needs.
