About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its Tulsa site. The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with a strong commitment to educational equity and a belief in the potential of all students. This role is pivotal in ensuring the site meets its impact, revenue, district partnership, and external relations goals. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 22 staff members and 70 AmeriCorps members, with a focus on people and culture, student impact, and private sector fundraising. Key responsibilities include building and empowering teams, fostering a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, and leading efforts to keep students in school and on track. The role also involves engaging with local and national elected officials to support funding and policies for the organization. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in managing effective teams, influencing and motivating stakeholders, and fundraising. Strong communication, listening, and public speaking skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to connect programs to funding, creatively generate resources, and build strategic partnerships. A deep sense of personal accountability, the ability to connect with and inspire diverse teams, and a passion for increasing critical student outcomes are also required. Experience in the local non-profit sector and knowledge of the educational landscape in Tulsa are preferred. The Executive Director will be expected to work closely with the local board, sustain partnerships with school leadership, and ensure the financial sustainability of the site.
