We’re seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Manager or Associate Director of Product Marketing to lead full channel lifecycle marketing strategy & execution focusing on demand generation, data-driven campaigns, product launches, content development, event marketing, and sales enablement. This role is critical in driving sales growth and shaping our brand awareness in a fast-paced biotech startup environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific background in NGS, genetics, and/or CRISPR gene editing, along with proven success in product lifecycle marketing and driving rapid commercial growth. The role is hybrid in Redwood City, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lifecycle Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and multi-channel demand generation programs (digital, events, partner co-marketing) across the full customer journey - attract, convert, retain, and grow. Tailor marketing campaigns to key segment needs (pharma, biotech, academia) and align with product and sales priorities. Ensure clear tracking for every campaign to generate insights and maximize ROI. Use data to continuously test, optimize, and scale what's working.
- Content Strategy & Development : Create compelling, persona-driven content that highlights our differentiated value and resonates with target audiences. Lead development of thought leadership and marketing assets by partnering with design agencies, KOLs, and strategic partners – brochure, app notes, blogs, videos, webinars, case studies, etc. Collaborate with Digital Marketing to boost engagement and visibility across channels, drive measurable impact through KPIs like website traffic, WebStore sales growth, and high conversions from lead to MQL to SQL. Ensure brand consistency across all channels and campaigns.
- Product Launch & Adoption: Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Digital Marketing and R&D to develop and execute targeted Go-to-Market plans based on Product Strategies, AOP targets and Commercial priorities.Develop segment-specific messaging, collateral, and campaigns to drive adoption. Establish efficient, data-based and disciplined mechanisms to regularly evaluate post-launch NPI performance and adjust actions/plans as necessary to achieve AOP targets.
- Sales Enablement & Commercial Growth : Deliver tools, training, and insights aligned with Product and Commercial strategies to help Sales drive pipeline growth, account expansion, and conversion. Support targeted campaigns, ABM, and events to maximize portfolio penetration and lead generation.
- Event & Conference Marketing: Manage company presence at key events (conferences, user-group meetings, symposiums, etc.) including design, collateral, and lead capture and post event follow-ups. Coordinate webinars and virtual events to engage target audiences.
- Customer & Competitive Insight: Track gene editing trends to refine messaging and uncover new content opportunities. Analyze competitor positioning and customer feedback to strengthen objection handling and campaign strategies. Use behavioral and transactional data to build personas, map segmented journeys, and inform full funnel targeting strategies through insights from HubSpot, Salesforce, and GA4.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Align closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Commercial, R&D, Finance, IT/Software and regularly provides expertise in developing and executing various product and commercial initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
- 7+ years of B2B life sciences marketing experience, including product marketing and/or product management.
- Proven success in lifecycle or growth marketing roles with measurable impact on pipeline and revenue
- Proven experience in NGS, proteomics, or gene editing technologies. Familiarity with drug discovery and development workflows.
- Strong content development, storytelling, and campaign execution skills.
- Experience supporting sales teams with tools and insights.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications and solid understanding of HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Salesforce KPIs and tracking.
- Strong problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
- Team player open to feedback and new ideas.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret and draw actionable insights to optimize marketing performance.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Business.
- Product Marketing experience with full product lifecycle management in relevant field
- Prior experience in custom gene editing services and/or reagent sales or marketing
- Skilled in building marketing dashboards, benchmarking KPIs, and tailoring reports for diverse audiences across the organization.
- Data privacy knowledge such as GDPR.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate succinctly across different levels of the organization and audiences.
