We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Corpus Christi, Texas. In this role, you will oversee inventory costing, variance analysis, and the maintenance of standard costs while ensuring accurate financial reporting for production activities. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate across departments to improve inventory management and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities:
• Manage inventory costing processes, ensuring accurate valuations and timely reporting.
• Conduct variance analyses, including purchase price discrepancies and production job variances.
• Compile monthly reports and presentations to provide insights into cost analysis and profitability.
• Coordinate and maintain standard costs for products and processes.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and prepare journal entries for month-end close activities.
• Lead cycle count and physical inventory programs to ensure accuracy in inventory control.
• Provide operational support to manufacturing teams, enhancing inventory management practices.
• Analyze inventory transactions and changes, offering recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to address costing issues.
• Identify and manage the disposal of obsolete inventory items to maintain system integrity.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in job costing, standard costing, and inventory management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with relational database systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Comprehensive understanding of production processes and general ledger relationships.
• Skilled in preparing detailed reports and conducting cost analyses.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
