Johnson Controls is searching for an Electronics Engineer to be located at the R&D facility in Westford, MA. In this role you will be responsible for designing electronic analog & digital hardware for new fire alarm products as well as supporting existing product lines. Work may include embedded system designs, small signal and instrumentation circuitry, switch mode power supplies, front panel user interfaces, audio amplifiers, peer-to-peer networking, linear power supplies, sensors and detectors, and fiber optics. In addition, research new technology that can be used within these products.
This position is located in Westford, MA, and you will be required to be onsite 3 days a week.
How you will do it:
· Work on analog and digital design and analysis
· Work on microcontroller and embedded system design
· Work with other organizations to conceive, develop, and release new products to production
· Work in a team environment to generate creative solutions to product needs
· Understand how to design equipment to meet agency certifications (UL, ULC, CE, FCC).
· Lead small cross-functional teams of junior Electrical & Mechanical Engineers
· Responsible for costing, scheduling and meeting design requirements
· Work closely with Product Management to determine design specific
What you will need:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
· Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products/systems
· Discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience
· Experience working with DC:DC Converter design
· Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related).
· Ability to work well with others in a Team environment that spans multiple countries.
· Experience transitioning products to manufacturing

· Experience working with Digital Data Communication Interfaces
