The Associate Banker SAFE Act is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to the overall strategy by applying their knowledge to their job and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority within their area, requiring basic commercial awareness. Typically, multiple individuals within the business possess the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential to guide, influence, and persuade colleagues in other areas and occasionally external clients. The role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables, providing advice related to technology or operations that affect the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function or job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Banker in creating sales and marketing strategies to generate revenue growth and acquire new target clients, focusing on Investments.
  • Support prospecting efforts by conducting research, generating leads, developing prospects, networking for referrals, and coordinating client events.
  • Help profile, qualify, and convert prospects into Citi Private Bank clients.
  • Organize pre-call planning, post-meeting notes, and maintain all client call records including reports.
  • Assist in deepening existing client relationships through detailed analysis.
  • Provide accurate revenue tracking, deal pipeline reports, and relevant information to the Banker.
  • Support day-to-day documentation such as account opening/closing and loan disbursal processes.
  • Deliver comprehensive service support, including resolving complex client inquiries.
  • Ensure proper documentation for KYC/AML and maintain updated client records.
  • Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding Citi's reputation, and escalating control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of investments is required; banking and credit products are desirable.
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships and multitask effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
