The Veterinary Technician plays an integral role in supporting our veterinarians across both Wellness and Urgent Care services. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys a balanced caseload—combining the relationship-focused nature of general practice with the fast-paced, hands-on experience of urgent care.
Technicians in this role are confident multitaskers, skilled communicators, and compassionate caregivers who take pride in delivering excellent medical care in every situation.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
Assist veterinarians during physical exams, treatments, and urgent care procedures
Triage incoming patients and help determine treatment priorities
Collect patient history, obtain vitals, and prepare pets for exams
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer vaccines, medications, and fluids as directed
Assist with radiographs, wound management, oxygen therapy, and anesthesia monitoring
Run in-house lab tests and prepare samples for outside diagnostics
Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records (EzyVet experience a plus)
Provide gentle, low-stress handling and compassionate care
Ensure exam and treatment areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked
Participate in ongoing training, team education, and hospital improvement initiatives
Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or similar setting (required)
CVT/LVT licensure in Pennsylvania (preferred)
Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and both routine and emergency medical procedures
Demonstrates strong technical ability, communication, and teamwork skills
Able to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
Full-time position with rotating weekends and occasional evenings or holidays.
