American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and California licensure for a 13-week inpatient hospital assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an inpatient hospital MRI department
  • Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for a variety of patient cases
  • Day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • No on-call or weekend requirements
  • Use Epic EMR system; Epic experience is preferred
  • Duties include independently performing MR imaging, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting patient care and monitoring
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
  • Orientation modules required and completed during onboarding; average module completion time varies
  • Candidates must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Staff who have worked at this facility must have a 1-year break before returning as a traveler
  • Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off
  • A 50-mile radius rule applies for travel eligibility
  • Locals accepted at local rate

  • Active California state license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification from AHA
  • Venipuncture licensure required
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as MRI technologist required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MRI, including inpatient hospital settings
  • All certifications must be current and in hand at time of consideration
