We are currently seeking well-qualified talent to perform in a virtual work environment supporting our YNHH Urgent Care Telehealth Team. Candidates MUST reside in Connecticut to attend in-office meetings. There are weekday and weekend shifts available.

Telehealth Associate (TA) will answer phones, register patients for virtual visits. Primary functions include verifying insurance and ensuring that all registration paperwork is completed prior to the virtual visit. Performs other clerical and administrative tasks as required. Emulates the ideals set forth in the YNHH Urgent Care Mission Statement.

The TA’s duties shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Telephone Reception

• Uses appropriate and professional behavior with all patients and all incoming calls
• Answers questions and gives information via the telephone within the limits of knowledge and medical practice policies
• Directs calls to appropriate personnel
• Takes and relays messages
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality

2. Patient registration and verifying payment information

• Takes demographic, insurance information and inputs patient appointments into the computer
• Verifies insurance
• Works with MD III Billing Solutions LLC/Billing agent to update and correct entered data
• Perform self-audits daily to ensure chart accuracy

• Knowledge of medical terminology insurance
• Skill in obtaining and maintaining accurate records in all aspects of medical office
• Technology savvy, computer skills
• Skill in obtaining and maintaining accurate medical records
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks related to job duties without the direct request of a supervisor
• Ability to work well with others and be willing to help when needed
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality of patient information
• Ability to multi-task with patients and other responsibilities
• Willingness to adhere to all in-house and legal regulations
• Familiarity with EHR and EMR records systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in an environment of continuous improvement

Work Environment
This job is a telecommuting/ work from home position and operates in a virtual environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
