Staff Accountant

Location:  Pittsburgh, PA

Schedule:  On-site first 90 days, then hybrid (at least 2 days in office / 3 days remote)  Compensation:  $65,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our clients accounting team based in Pittsburgh. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a project-based, fast-paced environment and wants to grow with a stable, well-established organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities.
• Prepare and assist with financial reporting.
• Handle accounts receivable and related reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Ideally ~4+ years of accounting experience, but we are flexible for the right candidate (prior Staff Accountant or strong junior accountant experience considered).
• Strong preference for experience in project-based industries, such as:
• Construction
• Architecture
• Field service
• Oil & gas
• Biomedical or other industrial/project environments
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of GL, AR, and reconciliations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
• Experience with SL, Sage, Oracle, or SAP is considered transferable and valuable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
