Staff / Inventory Accountant
Facility: Trenton Plants
General Description
This position reports directly to the Controller and is accountable for performing general accounting assignments and project tasks. Also analyzing the balance sheet and other general accounting responsibilities are required.
Specific Duties
Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
Analyze inventory reports and monitor inventory transactions.
Compares system outputs with daily input verifying for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.
Prepares accounting related reports.
Assists with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
Prepares and analyzes journal entries; proposes adjustments as necessary.
Prepares account reconciliations actively investigates reconciling items and proposes resolution.
Verify accurate standard costs.
Assists in the analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management, as required.
Supports the companys compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley, and Hutchinson Accounting Policy requirements.
Organize and supervise physical inventories.
Special monthly projects as needed.

Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Knowledge Accounting Principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
Attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.

The employee frequently is required to sit; walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, for viewing a computer terminal distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception vision for driving and ability to adjust focus.
This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Safety Glasses conforming to ANSI Z87.1 or higher
Steel Toe Safety Shoes conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
Hearing protection conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
