Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position supporting K-12 students in public schools located in Lusby, MD. The role is a contract assignment for the current school year, ending June 10th, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The position involves supporting speech-language services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to help students improve communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland license required
  • Experience or training as an SLPA preferred
  • Knowledge of speech sound disorders, language development, and communication interventions in school settings
  • Familiarity with special education regulations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed SLPs in providing direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
  • Implement speech and language treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collect data and document student progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to speech-language goals development
  • Support classroom teachers by integrating speech-language activities within the educational environment

  • Location includes Warwick Elementary School and North Dorchester Middle School in Dorchester County
  • Contract position through end of June 2026
  • Full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)
