The Sleep Medicine Physician at UC Davis Medical Group provides specialized outpatient care to patients with sleep disorders, collaborating with pulmonary specialists and supervising medical trainees. This role focuses mainly on direct patient interaction, with additional responsibilities including eConsults and administrative tasks. The position offers a full-time, onsite opportunity with no inpatient duties or on-call requirements.
UC Davis Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified Sleep Medicine Physician.
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide the sleep medicine expertise required to maintain a high level of patient care and improve patient access to care.
The sleep medicine physician will work solely in the outpatient environment. The incumbent in this position will work at 1 or more outpatient locations. 90% of the time will be seeing patients and 10% of the time will be providing eConsults to HealthSystem physicians and other administrative work. The physician will work in a collaborative environment with physicians in other pulmonary subspecialties, as well as other pulmonary advanced practice providers. A full day of outpatient work is seeing approximately patients per day. No inpatient work and no call required. The incumbent in this position will be required to have a separate appointment as a volunteer clinical faculty. This separate appointment will allow the incumbent to supervise and interact with medical students and residents.Department Overview
