Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE: The Sales Floor Associate plays a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for Customers. This position involves greeting Customers with a smile, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring merchandise is presented effectively. Associates are expected to engage actively in all tasks throughout their shifts and support various functions as business needs change.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prioritize safety at all times and practice safe behaviors in all activities. Maintain a heightened awareness of the sales floor to ensure a secure shopping environment. Keep emergency exits clear and report concerns immediately to Store Leadership. Treat all Customers and fellow Associates with respect and courtesy; demonstrate professionalism in all interactions. Assist Customers with merchandise, answer queries, and provide a welcoming shopping atmosphere by consistently engaging through eye contact and friendly greetings. Respond promptly to Customer service needs, handle inquiries with professionalism, and escalate to Store Leadership when necessary. Uphold the Company brand image in every interaction. Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining restrooms and high-touch areas to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. Adhere to the Company's dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Conduct daily sizing and recovery tasks to guarantee a neat and organized store. Efficiently move newly received merchandise to the sales floor, ensuring adherence to presentation guidelines. Understand and comply with Loss Prevention policies and procedures. Handle cash, credit, and refund transactions accurately while maintaining high awareness of financial processes. Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by following store best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to communicate effectively with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly and respectful manner. Competence in basic mathematical calculations used in retail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Capable of using all Store equipment, including registers and inventory tracking devices. Ability to spend extensive time standing, walking, and moving throughout the Store. Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop as needed. Occasionally lift and move items over 25 pounds. Ability to use janitorial tools, racks, ladders, and other equipment. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds may be required for Stockroom associates.
