Job Description

A financial services firm located in New York City is actively seeking an analytical and hardworking Trade Assistant to join their growing staff. In this role, the Trade Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day support functions of the trading desk, including trade booking, trade reconciliation, P&L analysis, and new desk functionality.

Responsibilities

The Trade Assistant will be responsible for:

• Working with trading teams to process trade execution across the trade lifecycle
• Working with trading desk to manage risk breaks, assist with executions and middle office functions
• Partnering with the COO team to release new technology, develop strategies, and provide analytics
• Developing robust processes to aid in the deployment of new trading capabilities
• Coordinating with developers to help with releases and testing for new software
• Liaising with operations, accounting and business management department to develop and answer ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-4+ years of experience as a Trade Assistant
• Foundational knowledge of fixed income markets, ideally with a focus in USTs and/or IRS
• Experience interfacing with trading and technology systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
