Key Responsibilities

Welcome to the core of what being a People & Culture Manager - Training is all about!

Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Empowers team members to provide excellent customer service. Establishes guidelines so team members understand expectations and parameters. Ensures team members receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.
  • Takes charge of making sure all trainings are completed or providing training that come from corporate, or internal trainings that also include compliance trainings for the city/state.
  • Supports day-to-day process in People & culture and assists the Director of People &Culture and Assistant Director of People & Culture in implementing hotel strategy, including coaching and counselling recruits, and hiring and retaining the best team members
  • Handles all team member complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Communicates immediately all guest complaints to Director of People & culture.
  • Interview potential candidates for open positions, take charge of the hiring/onboarding process

Requirements

Here's exactly what you need to excel in this role:

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

  • Two to four years of human resources experience or operations management required
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation, wage and hour issues, and labor relations

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Degree in Human Resources
  • Have experience using ADP
