In addition, the Coordinator manages MCC's industry sponsorships, apprenticeships, and other Earn and Learn programs for the Advanced Manufacturing and Automotive Technology programs. This position works directly with industry partners to increase student participation in work-based learning opportunities and identifies collaboration and outreach experiences by engaging with middle schools, high schools, and community groups. The Coordinator also develops and delivers manufacturing career awareness and exploration programs for students in special populations.**ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:*** Works closely with Industry partners and connects MCC Advanced Manufacturing students to work based learning opportunities including; Internships and practical experiences, company sponsored apprenticeships, and other Earn and Learn models.* Facilitate recruitment, registration, billing and day to day attention to multiple apprenticeship/sponsorship programs with industry partners. Quarterly duties include registering students in their classes, setting up bookstore purchases, submitting information to Student Accounts and ensuring a smooth billing process to industry partners at the end of every quarter. Work with apprenticeship students and industry partners throughout the quarter to problem solve any issues that arise.* Collaborates with MCC staff from multiple departments to create industry partner secondary course sections within specific credit classes to ensure proper billing process via Student Accounts. All apprenticeship/sponsorship credit classes are separated into appropriate secondary sections before registrations are completed by Pathway Facilitator.* Facilitate industry requests related to company specific degree and certificate programs, including designing custom credit class schedules thorough collaborative efforts between industry partners, MCC staff/instructors and students.* Network with local and national manufacturing industry and community groups such as ICATT to develop qualified MCC programs that meet their requirements. Attend ongoing roundtable discussions and other meetings hosted by ICATT and other groups to ensure that MCC is meeting expectations and up to date on industry needs and requirements.* Communicate on a daily/weekly basis with industry partners and their apprentices throughout the year to ensure that students are successfully moving through course programming.* MCC Foundation point of contact for apprenticeship, sponsorship and GAP programs on the SOC.* Coordinate annual Signing Day and other promotional events related to Manufacturing and Automotive programs.* Coordinate and maintain touch screen kiosk in CAM to keep students engaged in programs and other opportunities.* Maintain touch screen kiosk in CAM which includes, promoting job opportunity pages on website.* Coordinates manufacturing careers workshops and educational trips for students within special populations. Pathway Facilitator is point of contact for nonprofit organizations and will attend events and/or speak to groups during day or evening hours about MCC sponsorship and other opportunities. Examples are Opportunity Passport, Completely Kids, Boys and Girls Clubs, Opportunity Youth Alliance, MCC Re-Entry Program.* Develops and delivers career awareness and exploration programs and career opportunities for middle school and high school students and counselors.* Serve on and attend high school Advisory Board meeting whenever possible.* Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*** Knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing programs and College promotional materials.* Knowledge of College-supported software and equipment.* Knowledge of event planning and management.* Possess excellent communication (written & oral) and organizational skills.* Ability to effectively present information to diverse populations.* Ability to coordinate a schedule, use the phone and organize/update files.* Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations.* Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.* Ability to write and maintain accurate records.* Flexibility and willingness to work evening and weekend hours.* Ability to maintain confidentiality.* Ability to lift/move 50lbs on occasion.* Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*** Bachelor’s degree in related field.* Two (2) years of full-time experience in recruiting, outreach or other related fields.* Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.* Valid driver's license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required.* Must pass a background check.**The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
