Job Description
Position Summary:
The Logistics Manager oversees the end-to-end movement, distribution, and storage of goods within the company’s supply chain. This role ensures products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
- Oversee the selection and management of carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics services providers.
- Maintain compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to shipping, customs, and safety.
- Implement and maintain logistics systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP) to enhance visibility and control.
- Provide hands-on leadership and direction to warehouse, logistics, and parts teams, ensuring efficient operations, cross-functional coordination, and high performance.
- Manage and mentor logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and reports on logistics performance and costs
- Support cross-departmental communication with HQ and internal teams
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support success within the Logistics Department.
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain (Experience with large industrial machinery is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing warehouse, logistics, and parts operations, with a strong focus on team management, cross-department coordination, and process development; strongly desired.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Advanced knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and transportations laws
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- This role is based at the Geneva facility, with up to 10% travel to other locations as required.
