Job Description

A private household in Lincoln Park is seeking a nanny who is passionate about the care and development of two young children (7 and 10). They are a family of four who are social, active in the community, and are looking for someone to match their upbeat, energetic home environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible with their time, and will have previous experience working with children of a similar age. They are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term commitment, and able to become a trusted extension of their tight-knit family.

Please note that due to the children’s extracurricular commitments, driving them to and from activities is essential to this role and requires candidates to own a reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and playdates
• Help children with their homework and school assignments
• Manage children’s schedules and ensure they have the appropriate clothing, uniforms, and equipment for their activities
• Shop for groceries and household essentials, in addition to other errands
• Prepare and serve dinner to children and assist with evening routine
• Organize children’s rooms and play areas to maintain a tidy home

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children is required
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle
• Safe and reliable driving skills with a clean driving record
• Enthusiasm for working with children and a playful, energetic attitude
• High degree of punctuality
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Availability to work occasional nights/weekends

Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr; full-time hours
