Arconic Lancaster has been a leader in the aluminum manufacturing industry and a strong community partner for over 75 years. At our 1.3 million square-foot plant, we produce a variety of productsfrom painted aluminum sheet to blanked aluminum products. What we produce here is found in a wide assortment of end products, such as truck cabs, cookware, and construction materials. We also produce brazing sheet used by auto manufacturers to make evaporator and condenser components. Over 400 customers use our product for a variety of consumer goods.

All About Maintenance: As an employee working in our maintenance department, you help support our production departments by maintaining and servicing the equipment and machines they use in their day-to-day. You could end up in either Cast House/Plate Maintenance, Cold Mill/Mill Finish Maintenance, or Hot Mill Maintenance departments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of Industrial Electricians:

• Provide electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance, preventive maintenance diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and installation activities for assigned department
\n
• Maintains AC/DC motors and drives, controls, motor control centers, conduit, lighting fixtures, pollution control and lubrication systems
\n
• Perform safety inspections
\n
• Prevent and minimize equipment downtime
\n
• Problem solving electrical systems
\n
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy weights up to 50 pounds
\n
• Must own personal tools
\n

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to successfully pass the Electrical Accelerated Assessment Test.

2 years heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and installing: 480 volt - 3 phase systems. AC/DC motors and drives, motor control centers, panel wiring, lighting fixtures, conduct, pollution control and lubrication systems; OR

Advanced Technical Degree (associate in Specialized Trade in Electrical or Electronics field) or completion of degree by start date; OR

2 years Military experience in an electrical/electronic field (Provide copy of official MOS/AFSC with resume)

Ability to operate a personal computer; using required department programs

Good Communication skills; verbal and written and the ability to deal effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
