Job Title Funeral Director Salary/Wages $60,000 – $90,000 Job Type Full time Full Job Description Our family‑owned 4th generation funeral service firm serves over 400 families each year with two modernized facilities in Danvers and Salem, Massachusetts. We operate a proactive pre‑need program and are looking for a qualified, creative, and caring new member of our funeral service family. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited mortuary school or college of mortuary science Will be graduating with a funeral directors’ license soon or currently hold a Massachusetts Funeral Directors License (or reciprocal ability) Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles Excellent communication etiquette and interpersonal skills – ability to work in a team Proficiency with technology, including funeral service operating systems Impeccable attention to detail and a high sense of urgency in task fulfillment Funeral Director Responsibilities Meet with grieving families to discuss funeral arrangements, understand preferences, and provide guidance on services and pricing Arrange and coordinate funeral services, viewings, cremations, life celebrations, and burials Coordinate transportation of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home (no night transfers) Provide emotional support and guidance to grieving families, offering resources for grief counseling and other after‑care services (Full Circle Aftercare) Prepare and file all necessary legal documents, including death certificates and permits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Attend daily morning staff meetings and monthly full staff meetings Serve on a rotating work schedule Benefits Offered Relocation & housing assistance 401(k) matching Paid time off Professional development tuition Quarterly bonus opportunities based on performance Health & dental benefits Occasional free breakfasts and lunches Transportation reimbursement (gas card) Annual team outings and celebrations How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and references to Anthony@odonnellfs.com .
