Digital Prepress/Digital Printer Operator

Job Responsibilities:

The primary duty of this position is the preparation of customer files for small and large format digital UV and Solvent printers. Learning the operation of the equipment is vital to complete jobs accurately and meet due dates on time and efficiently.

Job Duties:

• Preflight and make corrections to client's files as necessary for print readiness
• Prepare cut files for routers, plotters and other equipment
• Assists all printer operators with operating UV and Solvent digital printers, routers and other equipment
• Ensure the performance of daily and weekly maintenance on all equipment is completed
• Communicates with project managers and printer operators to ensure job accuracy
• Ordering and consistent follow-up on order of supplies for department

Qualifications

• Sign, Vinyl and Banner Experience Preferred
• Proficiency in design products a MUST (Coral Draw, Illustrator, Photoshop, Onyx)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Deadline-oriented
• Strong leader and a team player with a positive outlook
• Must be able to work between the hours of 6:45 am and 3:30 pm and overtime when necessary

Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret job specification work instructions
• Sign and Banner Printing experience a plus
