About the Role

  • Maintaining effective communication and routine correspondence with CIW and PM

  • Ability to take direction – and then work independently without direct oversight - from CIW and/or PM

  • Ability to independently initiate and develop rapport with clients

  • Scheduling and providing transportation and accompaniment for clients with appointments

  • Ability to independently initiate contact with clients, providers, family/guardians; as well as skills with follow-through

  • Maintaining both task-oriented and team-oriented approaches

  • Promoting autonomy with use of client-centered approach

  • Proficient with clinical documentation, including capturing clients’ mood, affect, presentation, clinical intervention provided, and client response to staff interventions

  • Providing compassionate, practical counseling in moments of stress or crisis

  • Encouraging participation in social activities, wellness planning, and goal setting

  • Monitoring client safety, home cleanliness, and medication supplies

  • Participating in regular team meetings, staff supervision, and safety drills

  • Coordinating with case managers, families, healthcare providers, and other supports

  • Being flexible and adaptable, working at different program sites based on need

  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and supportive home environment

  • Performing minor home maintenance duties (snow shoveling, lawn care, etc.)

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in community-based mental health work preferred

  • MHRT-I certification, or willingness to obtain within 12 months (we’ll help you!)

  • Valid Maine driver’s license with reliable transportation

  • Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs, climb stairs, and respond to home emergencies as needed

|Pay & Benefits
  • Starting at $23.10/hr

  • $23.70/hr with MHRT-I certification

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with employer match after 1 year

  • Paid time off (vacation, sick, personal)

  • Life, short- and long-term disability insurance

  • Flexible spending accounts

  • Supportive, team-oriented work environment

  • Opportunities for growth, training, and professional development
