Location: UCHealth UCHlth Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, CO

Department: PVH Sterile Process

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Compensation based on relevant experience.

Summary: Join our dedicated team as an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician. In this role, you will perform essential sterile processing functions in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate and clean instruments and equipment according to IFUs, ensuring items are disassembled for proper cleaning methods. Conduct visual inspections before assembly and packaging.
• Ensure appropriate sterilization of instruments and equipment by following IFUs, checking external indicators, filters, and labels.
• Perform routine sterilization testing, which includes biological monitoring and leak testing.
• Document completed work accurately using instrument tracking software and paper documentation.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment to perform tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Required Licensure/Certification: Certification as a CSPDT or CRCST.
• Minimum Experience: No experience required; however, 3 months of certified experience is preferred.
