BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

Assist in baking operations of the main kitchen Bakery with an emphasis on pastries, cake decorating, assorted baked goods and Banquet production.

• Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
• Prepare rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries according to the house requirements and recipes.
• Check the production schedule to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be baked.
• Makes sure bakery is clean and sanitized.
• Distribute baked goods according to orders received.
• Assist with cupcake and cake decorating
• Maintains par levels of cake decorating tools
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

• One year experience in all phases of baking.
• Experience in decoration of cakes preferred.
• Must retain a current Food Handlers Card
• General commercial kitchen knowledge.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies

Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
