Associate Account Manager
The Disney Platform Distribution team is seeking an Associate Account Manager, Platform Distribution Sales who will be an outstanding addition to our team, which has responsibility for distribution of content for the best brands in the business including ABC, ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu. Our team, within Disney Platform Distribution, works with leading media companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Dish, and DirecTV. Be a part of the team that negotiates complex distribution agreements for Disney’s linear networks, direct-to-consumer products, TV everywhere applications, video on-demand services, and airline inflight entertainment licensing.
The Associate Account Manager, Platform Distribution will possess proven organizational, communication, and analytical skills. They are an individual primed to manage a range of responsibilities in content distribution and partnerships, encompassing business development, process management, and an understanding of contractual compliance. Successfully managing accounts with internal constituents, this individual also has a proactive mindset, demonstrating rapid learning capabilities and a forward-thinking vision to effectively execute Disney’s content distribution priorities. Responsibilities:
Support or lead partnership negotiations on assigned accounts and potential new entrants by assisting in the creation of materials intended for consensus-building across programming, marketing, legal, operations, ad sales, technical account management and other key business units.
Collaborate with the Senior Managers and Directors to manage all stages of the distribution lifecycle, such as subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, joint marketing initiatives, roadmap planning, and more.
Compile, summarize, and present intricate business updates based on account activity and the needs of the team.
Support the Platform Distribution Sales team and assigned partners daily and assist in the implementation of new and ongoing sales initiatives for designated partners.
Create, maintain, and refresh team documents and trackers, ensuring that all pertinent information is up-to-date and accessible.
Assist the team in crafting sales presentations, monthly reporting, and other business materials, while maintaining and updating team documents and trackers to ensure current and accessible information for the executive team.
Foster a robust internal network of Walt Disney Company colleagues to facilitate self-learning and bolster job function support.
Growth in this role includes opportunities to manage select accounts and partnership initiatives while expanding new business opportunities across designated accounts.
Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) in partnership support.
Account negotiation and executive material prep.
Required experience:
At least 3 years of sales, partnership, business development or business affairs experience.
Understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail to assist team with account and client management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Analytical thinker capable of evaluating complex information, breaking it down into component parts, and capable of making recommendations.
Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with internal/external partners, manage competing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Travel required outside of primary office location, including in-person client visits and events held in various cities outside of primary location.
BS / BA or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $103,300 - $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
